For most people, going to the gym and working out two or three times a week is great no matter what workout they choose. For other people, a more challenging workout is necessary.

Try Intermittent Fasting
Although it might sound strange considering most health specialists talk about eating balanced meals three times per day, intermittent fasting is one of the most effective diet strategies.
As stated in a study published in The Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry,
“Intermittent fasting (IF; reduced meal frequency) and caloric restriction (CR) extends lifespan and increase resistance to age-related diseases in rodents and monkeys, and improve the health of overweight humans. Both Intermittent Fasting (IF) and Calorie Restriction (CR) enhance cardiovascular and brain functions and improve several risk factors for coronary artery disease and stroke, including a reduction in blood pressure and increased insulin sensitivity.”
Intermittent fasting involves “fasting” for a certain number of hours per day, and only allowing yourself to eat during the others. Most people do 16-hours of fasted time and 8-hours of “fed” time. If you normally have problems losing weight, or you want to give your body a shock, intermittent fasting is a great option!
The great part about becoming more fit is that there is no specific way that you need to do it. As you can see, these are just three small tips that you can use. In fact, there are hundreds of other tips which work just as well or even better!
